Certainly with good reasons the local population have rhetorically baptized this path “God’s Valley”; walking along the coast at the feet of the Mount S. Angel “A Tre Pizzi”, this pathway gives the opportunity to admire one of the most spectacular panorama in the world, the view of the entire Amalfi Coast’s western appendix, from Praiano to Capri.
Along the crossing, participants will contemplate all the characteristic traits of the Mediterranean vegetation, from the flora with its herbs and the traditional cuisine’s aromas, to the fauna, characterized by the presence of foxes, weasels, and hedgehogs.
The adventure will include legends and historical anecdotes, mythical caves, enchanted villages, such as Montepertuso and Nocelle, up to date privileged destination for those who love peacefulness and the ancient, genuine gastronomic tradition. Finally, after a lunch break inside a natural cave of Mount Gambera, there will be a brief visit to a legendary location, which featured the famous battle between Holy Mary and the Evil.
Please note: the total path is 5.5-6 km long, with an ascent gradient of 100 mt and a descent gradient of 650-740 mt. Walking time will be 5 hours long.

|9:30 am||Meeting in Amalfi in Sant’Andrea square, in front of the BAR Protontino and leave with a public bus towards Bomerano di Agerola|
|10:00 am||Arrival in Bomerano, Agerola’s hamlet, and meeting in the major piazza|
|10:15 am||Leave Bomerano and walk towards the God’s pathway. Reach the so-called “Biscuit Cave”, example of a primitive and characteristic architecture. This cave is full of legends and stories, which enhance the beauty of the place. Stop and 5-10 minutes of lecture with explanations about the history, local myths, and the natural environment (herbs, flowers and animals)|
|10:30 am||Cross the Serra Hill Pass, along a flat countryside environment.
Beyond the Serra Hill, walk up and down across a hilly pathway, with examples of the typical Mediterranean vegetation. 10-15 minutes stop to relax under the shadow of the local vegetation with the eyes staring at this unique landscape. The guide will lecture on the local flora and fauna, in an ideal position to enjoy the outstanding view (500 mt above the sea level)
|11:15 am||Proceeding along the path, reach Nocelle. Here, admire the underlying Porto Valley, location of a shipyard with connected harbor during the Republic of Amalfi|
|11:45 am||20 minutes walk following Tagliata Street, leading towards Montepertuso, a Positano hamlet. Its origins are lost in the dark times, while historical traces of its existence can be found during the V century. The village acted as a refugee place for the Goths defeated by Narsete. In 915 this village shared the wealth and the decadence of Frederick II’s kingdom. Frederick II himself wanted to breed his hawks in Montepertuso There will be a visit to Piazza Chapel. Next destination will be in the hamlet called Montepertuso Old Fountain. Visit the fountain, the cave and an artifact representing the Holy Mary of Graces (20 minutes walk). The crossing will proceed along a pathway ending in the woods: from this location admire the rests of the Giammarino Tower (1528) and Montepertuso from the top of the hill. |12:40 pm||Arrival at the restaurant “Il Ritrovo” located in the central piazza of Montepertuso to have lunch.
|2:30 pm||Leave Montepertuso and walk uphill towards Gambera Mount (15 minutes walk). Arrival and visit of Gambera Mount. The legend tells this was the place of the legendary battle between the Devil and the Holy Mary. The battle was so noisy and impressive that the brigands, Devil’s representation on Earth, left immediately Montepertuso caves. On the cave, you can see traces of Lucifer’s tail, as well as the Holy Mary’s fingerprint. Stop and lecture on local myths and traditions|
|3:10 pm||Leave Mount Gambera and walk downhill towards Positano|
|4:00 pm||Arrival in Positano. Free time for relax and/or shopping|
|5:00 pm||Departure from Positano with public bus or ferry boat (with a minimum of 6 people)|
|5:30 pm||Arrival in Amalfi and end of the excursion in Sant’Andrea square, in front of the BAR Protontino|
